You can be a Soldier or an Officer, join as part of the Regular Army full time or enjoy the perks of Army life part time in the Reserves. If you want to join as a Regular Soldier, you have a lot of options. The Army is ranked No. 1 in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers. With over 39 apprenticeships on offer, you can get qualified in engineering, intelligence, medicine and much more. If you want to gain skills and earn civilian qualifications, whilst getting all the benefits of being a soldier, then this is the route for you.
If you want to learn to lead from the very best, you can become a Regular Officer and start your journey at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. You’ll build confidence, learn survival skills, and train to lead your team through tough situations — anywhere in the world. You’ll then take charge of a group of soldiers and begin specialist training in your chosen area - like logistics, combat, engineering, or even flying an Apache helicopter.
